Grounded in the PC USA, our worship service is traditional in style: Gathering Around the Word, with our calls to worship and confession; Proclaiming the Word, with a message for young disciples, Scripture readings and the sermon; Responding to the Word with the invitation to discipleship and call to offering; and Bearing and Following the Word into the World with the charge and benediction.   Hymns and music reflect the message contained in the sermon; thoughtful prayers express our confession of sin and dedication to spreading the Word; responsive readings enable us to voice our reverence and praise.  Services are led by our devoted pastors.

We have communion at various times throughout the year. Communion is either served or by intinction and is celebrated on the following:

  • Baptism of the Lord
  • 1st Sunday of Lent
  • Maundy Thursday
  • Pentecost
  • Rally Day
  • World Communion
  • All Saints’ Day
  • 1st Sunday of Advent
  • Christmas Eve

Congregational Worship Committee

Congregational Worship Committee is responsible for communion preparation, communion supplies, and sound enhancement for all services. It is also responsible for wedding and funeral service policies and staffing the Funeral Assistance Teams. Funeral Teams provide ushering, parking control and family support during the service.

During Advent the sanctuary is greened and a quilt is hung. The Worship Committee coordinates Advent readings each Sunday. During Lent and Easter the Worship Committee contributes to the special services.
