Volunteer your time with the youth in grades 6-12. There are many ways for you to participate with the youth of the church. Youth Ministry is based on relationship building among the youth and between the youth and caring adults. If you are
interested in joining the Youth Ministry of the church, please contact: Youth Newsletters and Calendars can be found here, and you can find a printed Youth Calendar on the table in the Spire Hallway at the church. Sunday Morning provides fellowship and educational opportunities for youth in 6th-12th grade. Sunday Evening provides an opportunity for youth grades 6-12 to come together for fellowship, Bible study, worship, service, learning, and outreach. Mission Trips for the youth are typically scheduled during the summer and church-wide mission trips often correspond with CMS spring break to allow for High School students or Middle School students and their parents to participate. Conferences, Retreats and Lock-Ins provide a great opportunity for the youth to form stronger relationships with other youth and youth advisors and to grow in their faith in safe environments that encourage reflection and Bible Study. Confirmation refers to the intentional time that the youth spend preparing to make a public profession of faith, confirming the faith that their parents professed during their baptism, and preparing to become active members of the church. Scouting is a vital part of the ministry to youth and their families. We currently have one Boy Scout troop meeting on-site, but the church hopes to host other scouts in the future. |
