Confirmation

Confirmation refers to the intentional time that our youth spend preparing to make a public profession of faith, confirming the faith that their parents professed during their baptism, and preparing to become active members of the church. This intentional preparation typically occurs in the 8th-grade school year.

Confirmation Mentors Each youth preparing to make a public profession of faith and take on the responsibility of active church membership is matched with an adult member of the church who serves as the youth’s faith mentor. The mentors share their faith journeys and develop lasting relationships with the youth.

Confirmation Class is a weekly meeting of all those preparing to make a public profession of faith. This class typically meets on Sunday during the Church School hour from 9:30am-10:15am or immediately following worship.

Service Lock-Ins and Faith Statement Lock-Ins are typically hosted for the members of the Confirmation Class.
