Conferences, Retreats & Lock-Ins

Youth Conferences, Retreats, Trips and Lock-Ins provide a great opportunity for the youth to form stronger relationships with other youth and youth advisors and to grow in their faith in safe environments that encourage reflection and Bible Study.

Montreat Youth Conference is a summer conference hosted in Montreat, NC for all rising 9th-graders through rising college freshmen. This conference is a great way for the youth to deepen their relationships with one another and their adult advisors and to be inspired by well-know Christian speakers, preachers, and music leaders. Registration takes place in January for the following July, so sign-up early.

Montreat Middle School Conference at Presbyterian College is a summer conference held in Clinton, SC. This 5-day conference provides a great chance for rising 6th-graders through rising 8th-graders to bond as a youth group. Registration takes place in January for the following July, so sign-up early.

Charlotte Presbytery Middle School and High School Youth Retreats are hosted each year by the Presbytery of Charlotte Youth Council. These retreats are hosted at Camp Pee Dee and Camp Grier and provide an opportunity for the youth to get outside of the city for a weekend and spend time with other Presbyterian youth from the Charlotte area.

The 30-Hour Famine is an annual event that brings together youth from around the     Charlotte area to learn more about how to fight hunger and poverty locally and globally. The youth also participate in a service project and worship exchange. The 30-Hour Famine also provides the youth the opportunity to learn about the spiritual discipline of fasting and public testimony.

High School and Middle School Ski Trips take place each year in January.

Lock-Ins are hosted at the church on special occasions. In the past the youth have held Service Lock-Ins, Faith Statement Lock-Ins, and Fundraising Lock-Ins.
