Handbells Dedication Recital - Fall 2008

In celebration of our recently completed four octaves of Malmark bells, the Handbells Choir will perform a dedication recital this fall.  Details will be posted as they are available.

Lyra - April 6, 2008

On April 6, 2008, Selwyn Avenue welcomed back Lyra, an à cappella ensemble from St. Petersburg, Russia.  During its first visit to North Carolina in April of 2006, Lyra charmed its audience in our sanctuary with its rich mixture of music from the Russian Orthodox Church and traditional Russian folk music.

Each member of Lyra holds an impressive pedigree in music and each performs outstanding solos during their recital.

This year the group participated in our morning church service that morning, and performed another program at 7:00pm that evening in the church sanctuary.
