The Chancel Choir is the primary choir for the 10:30am worship service.   Regular rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:30pm-9:00pm in the Covenant Choir Room in the Bowman Building.  Twice a year, Saturday choir workshops are scheduled in preparation of the special music services that are held during Advent and Lent.  For those services, the choir is accompanied by select instrumentalists from the Charlotte Symphony and from our congregation. 

At other times during the year, special music is presented to enhance the service it accompanies.  In 2007, there was the Jazz Communion Service on Rally Day in September, when the choir was accompanied by a three-piece band and our friend, the esteemed Dr. Thomas Moore, from Myers Park Methodist Church.  For the dedication service for the refurbished organ in November, Robert Ridgell, Associate Organist at Trinity Episcopal Church in New York City, accompanied the choir and provided special music.
