As we begin this year's stewardship season it causes us to reflect upon many things.  We reflect upon the difficult financial times all of us are dealing with and the challenges that lie ahead.  But we also reflect upon the amazing things we have been able to accomplish at Selwyn.  Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to continue our mission both inside and outside the walls of our church.  We've not only been able to keep the lights on and the doors open, we have also reached outside to those less fortunate so that we may become something much larger than ourselves.

It is with this in mind that we introduce this year's stewardship theme:

Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.  Romans 12:13

As a church, we depend on all of you to participate in the stewardship campaign.  Without continued support, a church cannot survive, prosper, and grow.  In order to continue educational programs, outreach trips, and other liturgical offerings, we must all contribute financially.  To those of you who faithfully pledge, we thank you and encourage you to continue your support.  To those of you who attend but have not pledged in the past, we ask that you prayerfully consider making a financial commitment this year.

You may leave your pledge card in the collection plate on Sunday, send it to the Church office or email it to lisat@selwynpres.org.

Please look for our "Portraits of Service" posters placed around the church (you might spot somebody you know).  And take a look at the Selwyn Fast Facts enclosed in the mailing.  It gives a quick snapshot of the impact your support makes possible in our Church and throughout our community.
