The Presbyterian Church (USA) is governed by representatives who are elected by the congregation.  These Elders comprise the local governing body which is called the Session.  They are responsible for all the various ministries and programs of the congregation.  There are also elected Deacons who work alongside the Session in various leadership and service capacities. 

Currently the work of SAPC is organized into six Groups:  Administration, Child Development Center, Christian Education, Congregational Life, Mission, and Worship.  Ordinarily the Groups meet on the second Sunday of every month at 6:30 p.m., the Deacons on the second Sunday of the month at 8 p.m., and the Session on the fourth Sunday at 7 p.m.  All meetings are open, and new members are welcome in all of the Groups!
