Congregational Life

SAVE THIS DATE!  August 31st, we will have a Pancake Breakfast in Fellowship Hall at 9:30am before Worship.

Congregational Life at SAPC is wide-ranging and far-reaching!  There are three main areas:  fellowship, membership, and congregational care.  There are numerous fellowship events throughout the year—spring picnic, Christmas dinner, lemonade and cookies after worship in the summer, and outings for smaller groups with particular interests.

The membership committee establishes contact with visitors, leads orientation classes  for those interested in membership, and hosts dinners for new members as one of several ways to encourage participation in the life of the Church.  (Learn more about these activities in the Visitors section.)

The congregational care teams provide hospitality for receptions after memorial services, share food and other support with families with new babies or with those recovering from illness or with those who have ongoing situations of need, and often visit in retirement facilities or homes.

Soon there will be a “Call Team” which will make every effort to recruit and engage the talents of every member with the needs of the Church and the world.
